Beetle FOR SALE

SO after a giving it some though I am deciding to sell the beetle. It is costing me too much money and i can afford it. So if anybody wants it or knows someone who wants one let me know. Beetle/ Weekend

This past week was pretty good i built a speaker box for my beetle and installed a couple of the the speakers. I also attempted to put a cd player in it but the wiring is pretty messed up so i left the tape player in until i have more time to work on it. So far it has been running great ive been taking it to school and work and it hasnt had any problems so far just a minor oil leak but thats how older VW's are i guess. My next task on the car is to install new floor pans, the old ones are starting to rust away so its time to replace them. Now on to weekend... Friday my family and I went out to dinner to a place called mama gustos which is a pizza place in lebanon, if any of you are familiar with al gustos or Pizanoes at the barn, its the same place. After dinner I didnt do much of anything just sat around the house. Then on saturday i went to work for 3 hours came home hung out with some friends and sunday I went to work and that was about it.

weekend

my weekend was pretty lame to say the least. On friday I hung out with some friends. We didnt do much of anything really went and got dinner thats about it. Then on saturday I went to work from 11-2, after that i went home and worked on a speaker box im making for the beetle. Then on sunday I woke up, had lunch with my family and luckily i didnt have to work because of Easter so i chilled at home the rest of the day. Monday was pretty good though, i went to school, then after that I went to Mater Dei. We just had auditions not to long ago and the drumline is off to a really good start, I just hope they keep it up.

Weekend

So this weekend was pretty bad. To start off with the car which my brother and I share broke down on friday so we had to call a tow truck to bring it back to our house. So then on Saturday I woke up to go to work, I was gonna use my dads truck so i went outside to start it and it wouldnt start. So as a last resort I went to my Beetle hoping it would start up nicely because it had been for like a week straigh, but it had other plans and decided not to work either and on top of that my parents were out of town with the only working car. So I had to call off work for the day which really didnt bother me. Eventually my brother and I got the truck running by the time he had to go to work. Other than that I got to see some friends I havnt seen in a while.

5 Favorite Places to Eat

I try not to eat out to much because I have other things to save my money for so ill try and eat at home if possible but when I do go out I have a few places at the top of my list. #5 would be jack in the box- I like jack in the box because you can go there and get alot of food for really cheap. I usually get the tacos because you get 2 for a dollar. #4 would have to be Dairy King in Breese Il, I work for Mater Dei drumline so when im up there, there is not much to eat so Dairy King is probably the best place to go. They have just about anything you could want. #3 Would be White Castle most people do not like it but I think it is delicious, and again it is very inexpensive.#2 would have to be Del taco, I dont make it out there very often but if im with some friends we usually make a trip up there. Alot of them are closing down and I think there is only one more in the St louis area so it looks like I need to eat there more often to keep it in business. Finally my #1 spot to eat is definatly Wahoo's Fish Tacos in Colorado,it is probably one of the most delcious places in the world. I dont go to Colorado that often but when Im up there with the family that is an aboslute MUST!

Spring Break

Before spring break started I was really excited for it then while we were on it I realized it sucked. Most of my friends that went away to college either had spring break the week before or after us which was lame so I didnt really get to see any of them. Also work took over alot of my spring break and it was overcast for a majority of it which made everything seem to drag on even longer. Look at the bright side though, i got to catch up on a lot of sleep.

YESSSS!!!

I finally got my beetle running without any oil leaks this time. I can not wait to drive it later on today i need to get some lght bulbs now so I can drive it around at night and not get a ticket. My brother and I also waxed/buffed it yesterday to make it look a little better than it did. Now I just need to start saving up some money for Paint and interior. Also rehearsal at Mater Dei went well last night, I wish the kids would have focused a little more because we are competing on saturday but a lot of good things still happened. We only have one more rehearsal until the competition at Ofallon Township High School it should be pretty fun and a good experience for the kids I cant wait and I know they are just as excited.

So last week I got my plates for the beetle and started driving it around for the first time in four months. After I was finished driving it and parked it I realized there was still an oil leak, so I had to pull the engine AGAIN!! Now I am just waiting for some tools to ship in that I need to replace the seal where the leak is. Hopefully those tools get here today so I can start working on it again and get it out of my parents garage so they can park their cars in there again.

Volkswagen

So this past week I pretty much worked on the super beetle all weekend. I finally finished up the engine, put it back in the car, and test drove it. Putting the engine back in was a huge pain but it was well worth it. It seems like the car runs better than it did before so thats a plus but it looks like there is still a small oil leak so this week im gonna take a look at that and see if it's anything major and try to get that fixed up.

Last Night

Last night Mater Dei Drumline had a performance here at the SWIC Basketball game. It was not the best performance but it was decent considering the kids did not warm up before they went on. Had they warmed up I think they would have done much better. Now we are done with rehersal until March 1st because we do not have any performances until March 15th. Then after that we will be holding auditions for the fall season.

Last week

Last week was pretty good I have been working on a project car, a 1974 Volkswagon super beetle, it is coming together nicely I have been rebuilding the engine and it is almost done. I have also been sanding down the trunk and plan on putting some paint on truck bedliner in it to protect it and make it look nicer. Next I plan on finding somewhere to get it prepped and painted so if anybody knows of a good and relatively inexpensive place to get that done let me know. After that I will start on some interior work with a new headliner, door panels, seats, cd player and speakers etc.
The drumline that I help teach has been doing good we have had a couple performances and they have been sounding pretty good, we plan on doing a competition on March 15 at O'fallon High School if there are no conflicts.

About Me

My name is Dillon Sinasky, I was born in Boulder, Colorado and moved to Illinois shortly after where i have lived since. :( I went to Belleville East High School and was on the drumline there all four years. Now I am currently working at Mater Dei High School, there I work with their Drumline. Right Now since it is Winter we are doing indoor drumline where we perform a show on a basketball court instead of a football field with a band. Our show is titled Hydrophobia and it is coming together very nicley considering almost nobody on the line has ever played drums until last summer.
